Discover Your Roots

Discover Your Roots! A free family & local history event in Chester.

Ever wanted to know more about your family's history but don't know where to start?

Interested to know who used to live in your house? Or wondered what your street looked like a 100 years ago?

All are welcome to this special drop-in event at Hoole Community Centre. On Saturday 28th January, 1.30–4.30pm,

Cheshire Archives & Local Studies, our very own Chester Group  and Hoole History & Heritage Soc will be on hand to help you with your family history.

A family history helpdesk and a series of short talks from experts and members of the local associations on their work will help to get you started in finding out more about your roots.
The Community Centre Coffee Shop will be open for light refreshments during the afternoon.

Some parking is available at the Community Centre, but please consider using other forms of transport where possible.
