Thanks for these articles Margaret - really interesting!We lived in the Old School, Lower Peover - next to the Bells, but I never knew the full story of it's significance!!
We also had a long association with Manchester Airport. In the late 70s - before it became so commercialised and busy, Roger had a hangar on the south side where he kept a vintage aircraft. Sometimes, when it was not too busy, the chaps in the control tower would ask him to give them a 'fly past and a roll'! Couldn't happen these days.
