FHSC Seminars: Scanning your Physical Family History Photos by Ann Larkham

FHSC Seminars: Scanning your Physical Family History Photos by Ann Larkham

We are delighted to welcome Ann back to speak to us again following her highly successful talk last year on Photogenealogy. This talk is an introduction to scanners which will begin with a brief discussion about the benefits of scanning our family history photos and will highlight some things to think about before getting started, including resolution and appropriate file types. Then a selection of scanners will be reviewed, and the pros and cons of each type will be explored. The talk will conclude with a brief overview of the organising process for the files that result from scanning.

This event is for members only and registration opens on 1st February, when the ‘Register [Individual]’ button will show on the left for you to click and then process your registration, you will receive an email confirmation. Registration will close on 19th February.

The zoom links/meeting protocol will be forwarded the day before the talk.  If you run into any difficulties with this, then please contact us on the dedicated seminar email address – or see the 'Seminar Talks and how to Register' section under 'Online Talks and Meetings' in the FAQ section of the website.

The Seminar series is co-ordinated by Margaret Spate, Jean Laidlaw and Margaret Roberts and ALL correspondence, queries etc should be sent to the dedicated email address -
