Rose Hill House, Northenden, seen from drive. This was the Northenden residence of Absalom Watkin(1787-1861) and his son Sir Edward Watkin(1819-1901).

Rose Hill woods, memorial stone for Edward Watkin's father Absalom. Absalom was a social and political reformer, he and his son Edward are buried in graves in St Wilfrid's graveyard.
