Meetings

Our meetings focus on topics relevant to all those researching their family history, including the use of the internet to further your research. We have some more general meetings featuring local topics for those researching in Cheshire and those interested in their locality. The format of our meetings is typically a one hour talk followed by an opportunity to ask questions; and then socialising and the chance to seek advice from other members over refreshments.

Meetings are normally held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Salvation Army Church, opposite Churchill Way Car Park in the centre of Macclesfield, from 7.30pm-9.00pm. We usually replace the July meeting with a visit to a church, archive or other location of interest, and there is no meeting in December.
Visitors are always welcome.
Admission to Macclesfield Group meetings is £2 for members and £3 for visitors.

A monthly update and reminder about meetings is emailed to subscribers to our email list. If you would like to be added to our list, please send a request to the Group Leader.
