FHSC Seminars: A March Through Time - Democracy Through the Ages by Dr Nick Barratt
The 4th Annual Dorothy Flude Memorial Lecture
We are delighted to be welcoming Nick back to FHSC, his talk will explore how we can trace our ancestors who took part in protest movements, marches, and wider social unrest through the ages. Focusing on one key movement for each century, Nick will explore issues such as workers’ rights, representative government, England and the Continent, and challenges to the emergence of the United Kingdom and outline the key sources that you can access to find out what happened to your ancestors and their communities.
