A CD which will aid any family historian researching Crewe has been released, it contains transcribed entries for approx. 43,000 records from various churches within Coppenhall and present day Crewe 1799 - 1951. The CD has images of these churches as well as a brief history which will be of interest to international as well as local researchers. A surname search facility is included.
The CD has been produced by the Crewe Group of FHSC and was launched at the Northwich Fair in February. The project group are already transcribing further baptim records as they become available. These next records will form another CD - Baptised in Crewe Vol 2.
