Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at Westbourne Hall Community Centre, Westbourne Road, West Kirby, starting at 2pm. There is ample car parking and visitors are very welcome. Admission is £1 and tea & biscuits are provided during the afternoon.
Programme for 2008
- January 9th - Village Mills of Wirral with Jeffrey Pearson.
- February 13th - As We Were - Photos of old Wirral & Liverpool with Glynn Parry.
- March 12th - Research Day - Members to bring something Ancestral and tell us how it helped in their research.
- April 9th - Lighthouses of Liverpool Bay with Diane Robinson.
- May 14th - Mapping your Ancestors with Hilary Ambrose.
- June 12th - Wills and Probate with David Lambert, Chairman of The FHSC.
- July 9th - AGM followed by Wonderful Wirral - First & Foremost with Joanna McIlhatton.
- September 10th - The Irish on Merseyside with Linda Ryan.
- October 8th - Around the World with the Condliffe Family with David Johnson, The Bookstall Co-ordinator. He will also bring The Society's Bookstall.
- November 12th - Wirral & West Lancashire Viking DNA Project with Stephen Harding.
- December - No Meeting.
Before each meeting, from 1.30 p.m., there is a Helpdesk for enquires, together with our Group library and a display of free leaflets.
Library Help Desk
Help with CD and Internet searches are given to Members and the general public at the following libraries:
