What are the Members' Interests?

The Society maintains a database of Members' Interests. An updated version is included on each new Members' Information CD (last published October 2006). Interim enquiries, always including your membership number, may be addressed to the Interests Officer, as detailed below, who will provide details of common Surname Interests together with contact details.

Every issue of the Society's Journal contains a list of all new and updated Members' Interests. These are the green pages published quarterly in the Cheshire Ancestor.

How to Register Interests

You can register your interests in two ways;

  • Print the Members' Interests Form, and complete using the Guide. The completed form should be sent to the Members' Interests Secretary at the above address.

OR

  • Send an email to the Members' Interests Secretary giving the following information;

    • Title and Full Name

    • Membership Number

    • Full Address and Postcode

    • E-Mail Address

    • Whether Interests are New, Additions or Updates (see Guide)

    • List of Surnames with Locations and Dates (see Guide for examples)

You might also choose to add your interests to the Cheshire Surnames Directory, which is a separate listing published only on the internet, and open to anyone researching Cheshire families.
